To celebrate all things Halloween and October, Zero Club will be commemorating 25 years of the cult movie, The Crow on the 25th October at The Night & Day Cafe.
The Crow was released in 1994 under a cloud of controversy and melancholy, as lead actor Brandon Lee died during the filming due to a defective blank in a scene involving shooting. Albeit grisly, this adds to the gothic magic of the movie’s appeal given the story and overall tone. The movie went on to achieve true cult status all over the world, and the appeal was further enhanced with a truly classic soundtrack featuring many leading 90’s Alternative bands such as Nine Inch Nails, Helmet and Stone Temple Pilots.
The night will include every track from the much-loved soundtrack throughout the night, as well as a screening of the movie on a big projector screen on the stage behind the DJs. If you’re that way inclined, there will also be a make up artist in the venue offering Eric Draven facepaint to all.
