So many of the best bands in the alternative scene utilise EDM elements to mix up genres these days so Deadbolt have put together High Boltage – a Spotify playlist featuring Alt x Dance Anthems.

Not only does the playlist feature alternative dance heavy hitters – such as Enter Shikari, PVRIS, Hadouken and 3OH!3 – but also remixed alt favourites, drum and bass bangers, Punk Goes Pop covers, alt songs with electronic elements and some of the best collaborations in the scene.

The alternative scene has seen massive collaborations with some of the best names in EDM, drum and bass and dubstep over the years – some of our favourite examples being PhaseOne with bands such as Silverstein, Thy Is Murder, In Hearts Wake and Northlane; Steve Aoki with Good Charlotte, Linkin Park and Blink 182; Tek One with Bury Tomorrow, Heart Of A Coward and Tek-One; and Kayzo with Papa Roach, Blessthefall, Atreyu and Memphis May Fire.

The playlist also champions some of the best bands utilising rap and hip hop elements within their songs such as Nova Twins, Hyro The Hero, FEVER333 and Hacktivist.

The third Spotify playlist curated by Deadbolt is now available and this time, it’s aimed at those with heavier tastes. Heavy Vibes covers many areas of the current Metal / Metalcore scene with a large dose of classics thrown in.

Not only does it feature heavyweights Parkway Drive, Architects, Bury Tomorrow and The Ghost Inside, but it also covers exciting newer bands such as Kublai Khan, Loathe and Blood Youth.

Following the amazing response to the first Spotify playlist – Heroes Of Pop Punk, Deadbolt have followed it up with a nostalgia overload. The Sounds Of MySpace playlist is inspired by the longest-running theme night, The MySpace Party, and it contains 200 tracks of 2000s-era Emo, Post-Hardcore and guilty pleasures.

Acts featured in this playlist include Taking Back Sunday, My Chemical Romance, Hadouken, Hellogoodbye as well as forgotten gems such as Millionaires, Breathe Carolina and Nevershoutnever.

While the event industry is taking a break, Deadbolt have compiled a Spotify Pop Punk Playlist – Heroes Of Pop Punk – to soundtrack the summer.

Deadbolt has been the spiritual home of Pop Punk in Manchester since the launch in 2011 so they’ve really missed being able to bring the party during the lockdown. The Heroes Of Pop Punk Playlist includes 150 feel good anthems includes inspirational bands such as New Found Glory, Fall Out Boy and Blink 182 alongside the new generation of Deadbolt-approved up and coming acts such as Gold Bloom, Melwood, Hometruths and Catch Fire.
