Manchester’s most chaotic alternative party Deadbolt is paying homage to cult director Tim Burton with a Halloween special celebrating his films on Friday 27 October at The Bread Shed (Formerly Pub/Zoo).
Deadbolt’s Halloween events are known for their fully-immersive themes complemented by DJs playing a mix of upcoming bands and classic hits in the genres of pop punk, metal, emo and dancefloor anthems.
The event will take inspiration from a range of Tim Burton classics such as Beetlejuice, The Nightmare Before Christmas and Alice In Wonderland with exclusive themed cocktails, movie soundtracks, dance offs, movie clips on the big screen, a mad hatter’s tea party photo opportunity, make up artist and many more surprises on the night.
During the night there will be giveaways of Tim Burton merchandise, DVDs, Willy Wonka chocolate and goodies from Deadbolt’s sponsor Fireball Whisky. The event also will feature a best dressed competition with prizes for those in the best Tim Burton themed costumes.
Liam Connolly, founder of Deadbolt, said: “Tim Burton has been a huge inspiration for film makers for over three decades and his films resonate strongly in the alternative scene to this day. Halloween is always an event where we take our themes to the next level so there’s no better time for us to celebrate Tim Burton’s works!”
Tickets for this event are available via Red Cardinal Music, Skiddle, See Tickets, Ticketline and Fatsoma. For a chance to win freebies click “Going” on the Facebook event.
