Jump The Shark have announced their September to December 2021 themes at The Footage. For this semester, the quizzes will all begin at 7pm.

Jump The Shark is a quiz event firmly rooted in pop culture, whether it be a certain genre of movie, a musical movement or a TV series with a cult following. Each quiz will contain a mix of image, music and standard questions rounds.

For those with big groups, tables can be reserved by contacting the Jump The Shark Facebook page or contacting The Footage directly.

Jump The Shark quizzes are now free entry with prizes from the bar to be given away to the winning team.

Jump The Shark are launching a monthly Music Bingo Night at The Footage

Jump The Shark Music Bingo - Red Cardinal Music

Jump The Shark, traditionally known for pop culture quiz nights, are launching a new monthly Music Bingo Night at  The Footage.

For those who have never played Music Bingo, it’s just like normal bingo except instead of listening out for numbers, you listen out for the songs on your card. And of course, you can sing along to this version of bingo!

During each night there will be four rounds, each with a different theme or genre. The Music Bingo night will start at 7pm. The bingo rounds are all free entry for as many rounds as you would like.
The Footage will be providing food/drink prizes for each round. Winners will spin the wheel to win anything from a packet of Monster Munch to a £20 bar tab.

The dates booked so far are 15th September, 27th October (Spooky Special) and 17th November with more to be announced down the line.

Freshers Week is one of the most exciting weeks of the academic calendar, especially for brand new students moving to the city! Red Cardinal Music will be hosting two Manchester Alternative Freshers Fairs at The Footage on Wednesday 15th September and Wednesday 22nd September.

The event will help freshers, and those who want to learn more about the rock and metal scene, to find out about Manchester’s best alternative clothing brands, tattoo artists, clubnights, artists and more.

During the events people will be able to buy raffle tickets for £1 to win items stallholders from both events and raise money for the Sophie Lancaster Foundation.

The events will be free entry and will both run from 12pm until 5pm.

Jump The Shark weekly quiz nights move to The Footage

Jump The Shark at The Footage

Jump The Shark Quiz Nights has moved to Manchester’s premier student sports bar, The Footage. The new venue will now see weekly quizzes on Monday nights, with a range of topics covering all corners of pop culture and niche entertainment.

The venue will hand out MORE cards to the winning team each week, loaded up with cash for future nights out.

The new format allows JTS to appeal to more of a younger demographic whilst still being able to work within the realms of niche topics and cult favourites.

All quiz nights that have already been announced will still be going ahead at the new venue.

21st October – The American Horror Story Quiz

4th November – The IT Crowd Quiz

11th November – The Black Mirror Quiz

18th November – The Skins Quiz

Jump The Shark Quiz Nights move to Mondays

Jump The Shark Quiz Night News - Red Cardinal Music

After gaining a cult following despite a small fortnightly Wednesday slot, Jump The Shark Quiz Nights is moving to Mondays at The Thirsty Scholar with a weekly slot and a new format.

Previously, the event had run between 6pm and 9pm on a fortnightly basis and only featured 5 rounds but the new format allows for a whole night of pop culture quiz party games.

Jump The Shark is a quiz event firmly rooted in pop culture, whether it be a certain genre of movie, a musical movement or a TV series with a cult following.

The new format allows new rounds including visual rounds and further interactive rounds which stand Jump The Shark apart from it’s competition. Where other quiz nights stick with the tried-and-tested format of pub quizzes, Jump The Shark likes to keep the event upbeat and more like a party with a quiz involved than a quiz outright.

The new format debuts on Monday September 16th at The Thirsty Scholar, and will be every Monday following until early December.

The price to enter any Jump The Shark quiz is £1 per person, with prizes for each quiz varying in value and style each time.
