Boneyard is back for another heavy dose of metal at The Shipping Forecast on Saturday 18th September.

Deadbolt DJs will play the heavier side of their usual party tunes with a mix of metal, hardcore, nu metal, industrial, metalcore, progressive metal and more.September’s dose of metal will be brought to the party by LJC and Bekkiness.

Entry to Boneyard will be £4 before midnight, £5 after midnight or £2 all night for students. Tickets can be purchased for £3 from our site, See Tickets, Fatsoma, Ticketline, and Ticketweb. Limited tickets are available for just £2 on our website.

After a guest spot at the Deadbolt 10th Birthday, Boneyard is back to its regular spot at The Shipping Forecast on Saturday 21st August.

Deadbolt DJs will play the heavier side of their usual party tunes with a mix of metal, hardcore, nu metal, industrial, metalcore, progressive metal and more. August’s dose of metal will be brought to the party by Boneyard DJ Mike Diablo.

Alternative party clubnight, Deadbolt, are celebrating their tenth birthday with a two room party at Night People in Manchester on Saturday 7^th August and a double venue party at The Shipping Forecast and Jimmy’s in Liverpool on Friday 30^th July.

Deadbolt is known in Manchester and Liverpool as a chaotic clubnight where people can enjoy a party vibe a little different from the traditional clubbing experiences. Deadbolt creates a house party atmosphere with live performances, interactive games and giveaways – and all of this is to a mix of emo, metal, rock, pop punk and alternative anthems.

Although their main clubnights are based in Manchester and Liverpool, in the last ten years, Deadbolt has been involved with events in other cities including London, Edinburgh, Bangor, Dublin, Bristol, York, Sheffield and Charlotte (North Carolina, USA). They have seen guest appearances from many acts within the alternative scene including Benji Webbe (Skindred), Tek-One, Bury Tomorrow, All Time Low and Hot Milk.

As with previous years, Deadbolt’s birthday will be celebrated with live music from some of the UK’s best upcoming alternative bands followed by club nights jam-packed with giveaways and guest DJs.

In Manchester, the birthday celebrations will start at 5.30pm with live performances from Raiders, Where Oceans Burn, Hometruths, Our City Fires, Medlock and Aleya.

In Liverpool, the birthday celebrations will begin at 7pm with live performances at The Shipping Forecast from Raiders, Rosen Bridge, Decay, Passionflower and Overset.

For both cities, the main clubnight will feature Deadbolt resident DJs with guest sets from some of Deadbolt’s most energetic returning guests – post-hardcore giants Funeral For A Friend, Kerrang! Radio DJ Jon Mahon and Sean Smith (ex-The Blackout, Raiders and Sappenin’ Podcast).

During both events there will be opportunities for party goers to participate in party games to win goodies from friends of Deadbolt. In Manchester, giveaways will come from Reap What You Sow Clothing, Fireball Whisky, You’re So Cool Prints and Good Omens Tattoo. In Liverpool giveaways will come from Fireball Whisky, You’re So Cool Prints and NRTH.

The Manchester birthday party will see the launch of Deadbolt’s new second room – Catalyst. Catalyst’s music policy is pure nostalgia with an aim to remind people of the music that introduced them to the alternative scene. For the debut outing, Deadbolt have reunited several DJs from the legendary Manchester rock club Rock Kitchen to take over the room for the night.

While Deadbolt and guests celebrate at Jimmy’s in Liverpool, Deadbolt’s sister brand Boneyard will be throwing the second Liverpool clubnight in The Shipping Forecast. Resident Boneyard DJ Mike Harper Lee will be playing the best in metal, hardcore, nu metal, industrial, metalcore, progressive and other metal subgenres.

Liam Connolly, founder and director of Deadbolt, said: “When we started out, our main aim was to create a chaotic night that stood out from other alternative nights by pulling together the best brands in the scene for games, fun challenges and giveaways. Our music policy has always been to play a mix of the classics whilst also championing the newer bands on the scene, which is why it’s so important for us to mix the live and party elements for our birthday bashes. The last decade has given us some fantastic memories and these birthday events are our way of celebrating those by bringing together our friends for a huge party!”

He added: “We’ve always had a loyal and fun loving crowd and without them we wouldn’t be celebrating such a big milestone. Since the birthday parties are our first events of 2021, we wanted to make sure we pulled together something extra special for them. Luckily for us, we have some extremely talented friends within the alt scene that are always up for helping up to create the party vibe! We look forward to more exciting events going into our eleventh year.”

Boneyard Women In Metal Playlist - Red Cardinal Music

Metal is often stereotyped by outsiders to be a very masculine genre, which breeds a common misconception that there are no women in metal. To celebrate International Women’s Day, Boneyard DJ Bekki Connolly has put together a playlist featuring some of the best women in Metal!

Boneyard Vol. 3 (Women In Metal) includes killer anthems featuring some of the strongest females across the subgenres within metal from metalcore bands such as Arch Enemy, Spiritbox and Walls Of Jericho to ethereal bands such as Within Temptation, Seven Spires and We Are The Fallen.

Boneyard Heavy Halloween Metal Playlist - Red Cardinal Music

One year ago today Boneyard took over the basement of The Shipping Forecast (Liverpool) for their very first clubnight! As the UK is still unable to spend Halloween partying in the way we deserve, Boneyard DJs have created a Heavy Halloween Spotify metal playlist to help the loyal partiers to soundtrack Halloween at home.

Boneyard Vol. 2 (Heavy Halloween) features a mix of horror movie soundtracks, dark fantasy themed songs and metal anthems that would befit any metal Halloween party. Expect tracks from horror legends such as Rob Zombie and Ozzy Osbourne, general metal heavy hitters such as Killswitch Engage, Chimaira, Cradle Of Filth and Gwar, and trademark horror scores from movies such as Saw, A Nightmare on Elm Street and Halloween.

Since launching late in 2019, Boneyard has become the home for all things Metal in Liverpool and has already attracted a loyal core of attendees. During the lockdown months, the DJs worked together to collate the first Boneyard Spotify metal playlist to keep the party going at home until the next event is possible.

Boneyard Vol. 1 features such legendary bands as Lamb Of God, Fear Factory, Slipknot and Metallica amongst cult favourites such as Behemoth, Satyricon, Crowbar and Alestorm. The diverse mix represents the varied nature of the clubnight itself, which aims to be different from the usual nights in the genre.

November’s event will be DJed by Mike Diablo. Having previously DJed at Manchester metal nights – such as Jilly’s Rockworld, Caged Asylum, Dog House and Twisted Sin – Mike is an expert in all things heavy.
