Deadbolt to take part in Start The Takeover charity clubnight for Manchester’s Women’s Aid

Start The Takeover - Manchester - Red Cardinal Music

Deadbolt will be involved with the first ever Start The Takeover event on Friday August 10th at Zombie Shack, which aims to be the Alternative scene’s biggest collaboration of clubnights past and present in the name of a good cause each time, with the first event’s proceeds going to Manchester Women’s Aid.

Deadbolt DJ Lee Earnshaw Jr. started this project after growing frustrated with the bad reputation in the Alternative / Rock / Pop Punk scenes when it comes to sexual and domestic abuse. After some brainstorming, he thought it would be a good idea to use the music and clubs to contribute something positive to the community. Future events will donate to other worthy causes, meaning customers will be helping people whilst partying with the very best the Manchester Alt Club scene has to offer at the same time.

Lee Earnshaw - Deadbolt DJ - Red Cardinal Music

Other DJs confirmed for this debut event include Emo Disco, Club Skeleton, Tom Hardwick and Antonia Ronayne (ex-Jillys and other legendary venues), with some more surprise DJs still to be announced.

Other brands working with the night are Fireball and Reap What You Sow.

This event has no advance tickets, but it will be £3 on the door, with all profits going to a great cause.

Further information can be found on the Facebook event.
